The Wednesday Challenge

We’re excited to announce a special collaboration with The Wednesday Challenge! From now until the end of October, we’re running a competition designed to reward your commitment to sustainable commuting.
The Wednesday Challenge encourages sustainable commuting for one day a week, and offers a great platform to get ideas and be a part of a community. Whether you’re walking, biking, busing or carpooling, every Wednesday you’re part of a growing movement making a real difference.
If you’re new to the Challenge, sign up before 31 October and you’ll be in the draw to win a one-month free EV Commuter Club subscription with Zilch, valued at $149/week. That’s your chance to drive a Hyundai Ioniq II for a month – on us – while carpooling to work and helping reduce emissions.
 
Competition details
 
What: One-month free Zilch EV Commuter Club subscription (valued at $149/week), using the Hyundai Ioniq II
Who: New Wednesday Challenge participants (must be new to the Challenge)
Where: Available for Zilch hubs at Gaunt Street (Auckland) and Innovation Park (Hamilton)
When: Sign up by 31 October 2025 to go in the draw. The one-month subscription must commence by 30 January 2026
Why: To promote carpooling as a sustainable commute option
How: Sign up via wednesdaychallenge.co.nz. If selected, Zilch will contact the winners to set up their account, provide an access card and activate the free Commuter Club subscription
 
T&Cs
 
-Must use the vehicle primarily to carpool to and from work with a buddy during the subscription month (buddy details to be provided upon winning)
-Vehicle must be collected from and returned to the same hub each day (Gaunt Street or Innovation Park)
-Intended for regular weekday commuting (Monday-Friday)
-Vehicle can be kept overnight and over weekends during the subscription period
-Participants are responsible for coordinating between themselves who will keep the vehicle overnight and on weekends
-The prize includes the standard Commuter Club subscription valued at $149/week. Any additional usage (e.g. extra kms or bookings outside the subscription scope) will be charged at standard Zilch rates
-Only available for the Hyundai Ioniq II
-Winners must:
Hold a valid full driver’s licence
Create a Zilch account and load a valid credit card
